About Our Share of the Farm Program

Sign up today so you can enjoy the bounty of the Michigan growing season! Beginning the week of May 20th, until the week of October 28th, you’ll be able to choose the fresh Michigan grown vegetables and fruits your family enjoys most. Our 24-week share includes your choice of the vegetables and fruits that are available that week. Once you’ve signed up for a share, each week you’ll get an e-mail from us with a listing of what’s available for that week. Then you choose what you want! No more eggplant or beets unless you want them. We’ll pack up your selections for you to either pick up at The Veggie Barn here at the farm or from one of the area Farmers Markets we attend each week, or you can have your share delivered to your home or place of employment. From beginning to end, Share of the Farm let’s you choose.

At the beginning of the Share of the Farm season in May you’ll get to choose from items such as our vine-ripened tomatoes, fresh mixed salad greens, asparagus, rhubarb, kale, collards, kohlrabi, peas, Napa cabbage, fresh herbs and eggs. Shortly after that strawberry season starts. Pretty soon there will be summer squash, cucumbers, carrots, green beans and more tasty selections as we start to harvest from the gardens. Blueberries, eggplant, peppers both sweet and hot, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, and peaches follow. Then there’s sweet corn, watermelons and cantaloupe! Come September fresh ginger, winter squash varieties, apples and pumpkins signal that autumn has arrived. Throughout the Share of the Farm season we offer vine ripened tomatoes and salad greens, eggs, honey, and maple syrup. All you have to do is choose what you want! Share pricing is just as simple. Choose to pick up at The Veggie Barn for $25 per week. Choose to pick up at one of the Farmers Markets or Community Drops for $30 per week. Want your share delivered to your home or workplace? Just $35.
